Quantum Leaf is a game for 1 to 4 players. Yes–even one person can play by himself or herself!

Each piece in the game is an identically-shaped leaf, but together they tessellate–meaning that they tile a surface without any gaps or overlap. The leaves in the standard edition come in four colors–green, yellow, orange, and red. Combining them into a single tessellation isn’t as easy as you might think, especially when there are scoring rules for different sorts of patterns.

field1The game includes instructions for playing various challenges, all with the same pieces and board. Many are solitaire but there are also competitions that can be played among 2 to 4 players.

You might find, though, that you don’t even need to play a game. Few people who’ve seen these pieces have resisted the temptation to pick them up to try fitting them together.

Aside from being great fun, Quantum Leaf gets your brain firing on all cylinders, implementing spacial orientation, pattern forming, and fine motor skills!
